We had been racing Hot Wheels cars against each other when a group of teenage black kids came rolling in the door. I of course don’t think anything of it. Jay on the other hand literally screams…
“Man I hate it when black people wear their pants around their knees! You can see their underwear! They all do it!”
The group of kids stopped to stare the 2 of us down & then went on their way. Aside from feeling like a complete idiot (Not all that rare for
“Jay, you can’t say stuff like that man. That’s called racism.”
He responded…”What? My dad hates black people.”
How exactly do you respond to that? He didn’t stop there either. A little later we were talking & he drops…
“Do you gel your hair? My dad says that guys like you that gel their hair are queers!”
I mean, he did hit the nail on the head, I am pretty queer….But WTF?!? I told the kid that guys that gel their hair get the ladies (Knowing it is a complete lie.) all the while thinking maybe his dad wouldn’t be the same age as me, have an 8 year old kid with a disgusting woman, and have a decent job had he taken a shower at some point in his life, much less gel his hair. At least the kid bought my response because he went to the bathroom a little later & wetted down his hair & spiked it. He didn’t get the ladies though.
My little wasn’t done though. He fired off one last offensive gem while we were watching a basketball game…
“I bet that kid is an Indian. My dad says they need to go get jobs!”
Again, I was shocked along with about 10 parents watching their kids play basketball…the kid is freaking 8. So far the kid hates blacks, gays, & Indians. All he has to do is work on a few Jew jokes, deny the Holocaust, & ride around on horses in ridiculous sheets.
I mean, I had noticed the kid showed aggression towards minorities in the past, but I thought it was kids being kids. It is scary to think people actually teach their kids this crap. As rewarding as the experience is, crap like this blows me off my feet. How do you explain to a kid his dad is a bigot idiot in a nice way?
Anyway…Point this Saturday night for Bubba’s 21st & CYO championship rounds early the next morning…Should be some stories out of that…Until then…Peace…
