I was born to the wrong generation. God screwed up somehow. My favorite movie by far lately has been Anchor Man featuring the legendary Will Ferrell. The movie rocks on 15 different levels. Aside from being hilarious, it opened my eyes to just how great the 1970’s were. The El Camino, featuring an 8 track player, has to be the one of the best things to emerge. There were also notable people such as Johnny Cash, Elvis, Merle Haggard, & Mary Tyler Moore. The disco reigned supreme & Stayin’ Alive bumped out of everyone’s stereo. All these were great but my personal favorite was the clothing. I am dead serious here.
Look at the clothes they wore. Ron Burgandy is example 1, he was a pimp in every freaking way. The collars, colors, & prints, there were all awesome. Even better than Ron’s gear, Veronica Corningstone’s. One word: delicious. The style is what makes her. The skirts were hot; the jumpsuits were off the charts. It was just a simpler time when polyester & sideburns got you places. I look at those privileged enough to be able to take part in the 70’s with jealousy.
