My Computer & Lawn Mowers

So…. It been a month since I have written anything of substance for my site.

Last week I had a hell of a scare. My monitor 1st went down, that sucked & I still haven’t gotten that resolved with Dell. Next, my entire computer crashed. That’s a great feeling. I am way less retarded than the average person when it comes to computers so I was hella scared when I couldn’t get the issues resolved. Pretty much I spent the last week fearing that I had lost all my mp3’s & word documents. We are talking 100’s of hours of downloading over the past few years & everything I have ever written. In any event, I sat down today & spent about 8 hours racking my brain & finally just reinstalled windows. Magically I figured out how to recover my mp3’s. Well you can imagine my relief when I opened up my library & had everything there. The collection, according to MusicMatch, has 4243 songs filling up 26.23 gigs (Most of it free.). I have no idea how that stacks up against anyone else but I am damn proud of it. Anyway….

The other day J-Ron, Eric & I rolled to his cabin to mow the lawn for the up coming week partying up there. It was interesting to say the least. We rolled in & the grass was literally chest over half of the lawn we had to mow. Add into that the temperature was around 95 degrees & you have 3 guys sweating their ass off. J & I tackled the lawn up by the cabin with a couple of push mowers & Eric nailed the taller path with the riding mower. We must have sweated off about 15 pounds in water weight. Sounds like it sucked but not at all.

Once the bulk of the work was done, we began to fuck around. Yea, fucking around with lawn mowers is always a great idea. 1st we were pushing the push mowers down a huge hill. Fun but actual work. We then began to experiment with the riding mower. 1st I tried driving it around J’s 3-wheelin’ path. I got the mower stuck. Then I tried going up a 10 foot hill with a 45 degree angle. After almost rolling over backward we determined it would be better to try to go down it. A couple rolls down the hill & I decided I valued my life more than a little fun on the mower.

There are no morals to these stories. I might write something on the party at Chris’ last night & the interesting visitors & Jaren’s return to form.

On a completely different subject, a good friend of my family, Lyle, unexpectedly passed away this evening. Please say a prayer for him & his family.
